Key Responsibilities
Lead consulting engagements across a broad project mix — environmental, data center, science & biotech, energy, industrial, healthcare, education, and commercial developments.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, translating complex acoustic and vibration findings into clear, actionable guidance.
Plan and conduct field measurements, then translate results into predictive models that support design and permitting decisions.
Draft and lead technical proposals, scoping engagements and setting technical direction on new project pursuits.
Prepare and review technical reports summarizing findings, methodology, and recommendations for clients, agencies, and the public.
Mentor junior and mid-level consultants, and contribute to internal research initiatives that keep the practice at the leading edge.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in environmental noise consulting.
Degree in engineering or a physical science, with coursework or specialized experience in acoustics and/or vibration, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Demonstrated project management experience within a consulting environment, including budget and timeline ownership.
Working familiarity with noise and vibration measurement instrumentation and the data processing, analysis, and modeling that follows.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to clients, regulatory agencies, and community audiences alike.
Experience with acoustic modeling software (e.g., CadnaA or a comparable platform).
Willingness to travel for fieldwork, including occasional evening or weekend site visits.
Self-directed, organized, and comfortable running multiple concurrent engagements.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Experience managing project teams and cultivating long-term client relationships.
A track record of pairing technical rigor with client-facing polish.
